People open this page because they help write a software request for a company that sells to other companies. B2B loyalty software RFP questions are the lines in that request that stop a consumer points demo from winning the work.
A business customer is an account. One legal entity may pay. Another location may order. A buyer, an approver and a finance user are not the same person. If the document only asks âdo you support tiers and a catalog,â every vendor will say yes. The questions below exist so the answers have to mention your accounts.
If you are looking to launch a B2B loyalty software, we will discuss the questions you must ask your RFP bidders.
What the questions are for
They force a written answer about roles on the account, how volume or contract value moves a tier, when a renewal or early payment pays, and where finance sees the credit.
Can this parent, bill-to, and location stay one account?
Put your real shape in the question. How does a parent company, a paying entity and a location stay connected without becoming three wallets? How do a buyer, an approver, and a finance viewer get different rights?
A useful answer names the objects and the permissions. âMulti-user accountsâ is not enough. If a branch can spend a credit headquarters never approved, the first large customer will create a dispute you cannot unwind from a points log.
What actually moves the tier?
Ask which orders count, which returns reverse the count, and whether two legal entities under one parent share a tier. Ask whether a mid-year volume change is automatic or a ticket to support.
Write the rule you already use in sales. If two entities must not share a tier, say that in the question. Vendors demo the case that looks neat. Your accounts are rarely neat.
What date turns a renewal or an early payment into a reward?
Many B2B teams want more than a thank-you for an order. They want a bonus when a contract is signed early, or when an invoice is paid inside a window finance already uses. Those are dates and documents. Ask which record the software watches: the opportunity, the contract, the invoice.
If the answer is âan admin enters it,â you will run the program on a spreadsheet and pay for software you do not use.
Where does the credit appear for finance?
Account credit, a business gift card, a training seat or an event pass can all be valid rewards. The question that matters is whether the amount is visible in the system finance already trusts. NextBee lists ERP connections such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle, and CRM connections such as Salesforce and HubSpot. The written answer still has to name the field that carries the account and the amount.
A rewards platform that cannot post to that field is a second wallet. Finance will notice at the first close.
What happens when the account goes quiet or buys more?
Ask how falling orders or falling product use show up on the same account, and what the software is allowed to send. Ask how an expansion (more seats, a second product, a higher tier) earns without opening a new balance.
Sales and customer success will ignore a separate loyalty login. The signal has to live on the account they already open. Firms that also run broader account programs can keep a financial services marketing or industry plan beside this. Do not pour that plan into these questions.
What do we pay, and what do we keep if we leave?
Ask for the pricing unit in writing: repeat purchase, renewal or expansion. NextBee describes fees tied to revenue milestones agreed with the delivery team. Ask for current SOC 2 Type II, and for GDPR, CCPA and ISO 27001 where they apply. Ask what export you keep: accounts, balances, approvals, consent.
For background on why B2B programs fail when they copy consumer mechanics, there is a longer note on why points and tiers are not enough in B2B. Use it as reading. It is not the question list.
Why these questions favor an account platform
A consumer suite can look strong on a catalog slide and empty on every question above. An account platform has to answer all six in writing. That is the gap these B2B loyalty software RFP questions are meant to open, so a visitor who has never sat in a vendor meeting can still tell the two products apart.
NextBee is built around account hierarchy, volume and contract rules, renewal and payment incentives, credits finance can see, and pricing tied to milestones you set. Score those claims against the questions. A weak row stays a weak row.
Put the six questions in the document
Send the parent account and the system that must show the credit. We will answer in writing. Pricing is tied to milestones you set.Â
