Most vendors will say they track referrals. A web form can say that. Software that records the introduction on a Salesforce opportunity can say that too. They are not the same product.
Use these B2B referral software RFP questions so the written answers have to show the difference. Send them with your request for B2B referral software.

Where does the referrer sit on the opportunity?
Ask which object holds the new company and which field stores the person or partner who made the introduction. Name Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho in the question so the answer cannot stay generic.
A useful reply names the object and the field. âWe sync to CRMâ is a press line. If sales cannot see the owner on the record they already work, they will go back to the inbox.
When is the deal real enough to pay?
Ask which stage releases the reward: qualified, signed order, first invoice, or a number of days after close. Ask what happens if the deal is later lost or the contract shrinks.
If you pay when the form is submitted, you will pay for introductions that never become customers. NextBeeâs B2B referral page describes milestone payouts. The written answer still has to use your stage, not a vague âwhen it converts.â
Who wins if two partners submit the same company?
Describe the last collision you had, or a simple one: two resellers, one domain, both sure they called first. Ask how the second submission is blocked or queued, who may override, and what the first owner sees.
Also ask what you match on: CRM account ID, domain, tax ID. âFraud detectionâ without a match rule will not survive the first fight.
Who inside our company accepts the introduction?
Many programs need sales or partner management to accept a name before it counts. Ask whether that approval lives in the product, what the approver sees, and whether the name can reach pipeline without it.
If the step is only an email, it will be skipped on busy weeks. NextBee lists multi-level approval and qualification rules. Make the reply show that step on your deal type, not on a sample consumer lead.
What file can finance export?
Ask for a list that shows referrer, account, close date, amount, and currency. A dashboard tile is not that list. NextBee describes multi-currency payouts and reporting you can export. Name the format you already use so the answer cannot be a screenshot.
If payouts also need to show up beside other account activity, say so. An omnichannel engagement view that cannot produce the file still leaves finance in a side sheet.
What do we pay you, and what do we keep if we leave?
Ask for the pricing unit in writing: closed revenue, qualified introductions, or another milestone you already report. NextBee ties fees to revenue milestones agreed with the delivery team. Ask for current SOC 2 and for GDPR and CCPA where they apply. Ask what export you keep: accounts, owners, approvals, payouts, consent.
Healthcare and other regulated sellers can keep an industry plan such as healthcare marketing next to this request. Do not pour that plan into these six questions. They measure deal ownership, not a campaign calendar.
For broader partner-program reading after the questions are in the document, use the B2B referral partner program guide. It is background. It is not the scorecard.
Why a generic yes fails these questions
A share widget can say yes to tracking and still fail every question above. Software built for accounts has to answer with fields in CRM, sales stages, and a file finance can open.
NextBee is built to put the introduction on the CRM record, wait for the stage you name, resolve a double claim, run an approval, and export a payout file. Score those claims against the six questions. A weak row stays a weak row.
