  • Cluster Analysis is also referred to as segmentation analysis or taxonomy analysis which is an exploratory analysis that tries to find structures in the data. Whenever a group is not previously known cluster analysis tries to identify homogeneous groups of cases because it is exploratory, no distinction is made between independent and dependent variables. Other cluster analysis methods that SPSS offers can take care of nominal, ordinal, scale and binary data.

Grouping similar objects or objects that are not identical, but they have a lot in common is called clustering. It is the main task of exploratory data mining, which is used often in exploratory data mining, it is also used very often in statistical data analysis which includes machine learning, image analysis, bioinformatics, data compression, computer graphics, and information retrieval.

    Cluster Analysis

Cluster analysis can be achieved by various algorithms that are significantly different in their understanding of what makes a cluster and how to find them. Groups with small distances between them are seen as cluster members and clustering can be formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem. Cluster analysis is not an automatic task, it includes trial and failure as it is necessary to modify data preprocessing and model parameters until the result gets to the desired properties.

Cluster analysis was originally discovered in 1932. There are many other terms that are used to define the grouping of people or objects, such as community detection, numerical taxonomy, automatic classification, and others.
