Online Ads on a Rise despite Financial Slowdown

U.S. revenue from advertising on the Internet rose by more than 2 percent in the third quarter from the previous one, despite the economic slowdown, according to a report. Revenues from online advertising totaled to some 5.9 billion dollars in the third quarter, an increase of 11 percent over the same period last year.

For the first nine months of the year, revenues from online advertising came up to 17.3 billion dollars compared with 15.2 billion dollars in the same period last year, says the report.
But the companies’ dependent on advertising on the Internet, particularly Google, says its shares have fallen recently on fears that the economy is on a downtrend.
Advertisers will still saying that spending on online ads, especially in times of economic slowdown, because they often pay for ads on their own merits - for example, when consumers click on an ad to visit an e-commerce site.

If we consider these statistics, we come to the conclusion that the online advertising section of the Internet business will continue to rise irrespective of an economic slow down.
